International Cooperation

Thanks to our participation in international projects, we have the chance to cooperate with a number of renowned dance schools and art institutions worldwide. Students have the chance to get new contacts and knowledge of the possibilities of studies abroad or of work in foreign dance companies.

ERASMUS+ KA131: Incoming Students

Organisational matters and related administrative work are handled by the Erasmus+ programme coordinator MgA. Veronika Šimková (veronika.simkova@duncancentre.cz) in cooperation with the conservatoire management and the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (Dům zahraniční spolupráce), supported by selected teaching staff.

Within the Mobility Activities in KA131 Higher Education project, KDC implements two activities:

  • student mobility (study placements SMS in the 6th year)

  • staff and visiting artist mobility (staff teaching mobility STA).

Individual timetables are completed upon arrival with the Erasmus coorinator.

Deadline for application: 15/4 for winter semetster and 31/10 for summer semester

Accommodation: The conservatory does not have its own accommodation facilities and students arrange their own private apartments. Some Erasmus students try to use the accommodation facilities of other universities in Prague.

Study period: winter semester 1/9 - 31/1, summer semester 1/2 - 26/6; these dates depend on the academic year and are clarified in the letter of acceptances (may vary a few days)

Insurance: You must have valid health insurance for the entire study period. EU citizens are advised to bring a European Health Insurance Card.

International Cooperation

  • we organize dance workshops for our students and teachers given by renowned foreign dance teachers, including mobilites 

  • we run dance workshops for our teachers within the frame of the Erasmus+ programme and on the basis of inter-institutional agreements

  • we organize study stays for 6th level students at European dance schools within the frame of Erasmus+ and at other dance schools and institutions within the frame of bilateral agreements (e.g. USA, Mexico)

  • we participate in various conferences

  • we cooperate with international dance festivals where our students and graduates get actively involved
