Preparatory course for the entrance examinations for the 2027/2028 academic year

The course runs from October 2026 to December 2026 – once a month on a Saturday. It is led by teachers and graduates of the conservatory. During the course, you will get a taster of what it’s like to attend the conservatory and become more familiar with the conservatoire environment.

The course is held at the Duncan Centre Conservatory, Branická 41, 147 00 Prague 4.

The preparatory course forms a comprehensive programme consisting of four days. Lessons take place in blocks focusing on dance (technique and improvisation), theory (music reading, dance in the Czech Republic) and rhythmic training.

Who are the courses are suitable for?

The courses are suitable for anyone interested in studying at a conservatory. Priority for places on the course will be given to pupils in Year 9 of primary school and those in the fourth year of lower secondary grammar schools or conservatories. Applicants from lower years will be accepted onto the course if not all places are filled by Year 9 pupils and pupils in the corresponding year group at multi-year grammar schools.

Price: 4.800 CZK

By completing the registration form, the applicant commits to attending all teaching days. If the applicant fails to attend any day of the course, no refund will be given.
