Simone Sandroni again in Duncan

Simone Sandroni is returning to Duncan. From 4 October, he will spend 14 days working intensively with the fourth-year students to prepare a new choreography, which we will presented on Sunday 18 October.

Simone Sandroni is returning to our conservatory after two years. In 2022 and 2023, he created the choreographies Země na konci země and Tajnosti for our students. He subsequently returned to the school to work with students on developing their choreographic skills as part of the Creation lessons. In October 2026, he will be returning to prepare another brand-new production with the students.

Simone Sandroni was a founding member of the Ultima Vez company in Brussels in 1987 and worked with them until 1992. In 1993, he founded his own company, ERNESTO, in Brussels and staged his first production.

Simone Sandroni worked with students at the Duncan Centre as early as the late 1990s and left a significant mark not only on the school but also on the Czech dance scene when, together with Lenka Flory, he founded the Déjà Donné company in Prague with which he enjoyed international success. Their productions have been staged in more than 30 countries across Europe, North and South America, and Asia. From 2015, Simone Sandroni went on to lead the Stadttheater Bielefeld dance company for seven years.
