Interesting facts
From June 9 to 13, our fifth-year students will participate in the SHARE international festival in Bratislava. The sixth year of this festival is hosted by the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU).
The aim of the project is to create a platform for comparing the results of artistic and educational activities at universities, primarily from Central Europe. The festival presents the work of future dance professionals in the field of choreography, as well as the work of educators in training future professional dancers and performers. The festival will feature performances and workshops for all participating students, highlighting various approaches and possibilities for teaching dance techniques. The discussion format “Contextualize, share, discuss” focuses on developing students’ ability to talk about their artistic ideas, the decisions they make during the creative process, and their working methods. These meetings offer a space for attentive listening and sharing, as well as for dialogue among peers. Their goal is also to provide participants with the context in which the works presented at the festival were created, to formulate observations based on what they have seen, and to identify the creative tools and objectives used, with the active participation of students and teachers from the participating schools.
Representing our conservatory will be Barbora Zahrádková with her graduation choreography Answer the Question and Lada Jasanská with her brand-new choreography Spare Authenticity.
